As a forensic scientist, you are exposed to analyzing various evidences found at the crime scene and from the victim. You may be handling DNA analysis from blood, ballistics, hair, and other samples. Collecting and preserving evidences is also part of your duty.
To perform the task properly, you need to have special abilities such as strong communication skills, great team player and can work on your own, well-organized, familiar of using computers and laboratory equipment, excellent analytical skills for researching and understanding data, and more. All these skills can be learned from any accredited forensic science colleges. You enroll in a degree program preferably the bachelor’s degree program and complete it on time.
Be sure the curriculum includes an internship training program where you can earn your practical experience as a student. The internship provides a huge opportunity in exposing you to the actual field of forensic science before you do the real job.
