A Legal Analysis for All Online

Recipients of hip replacements are eager to know if the device they were given is involved in a DePuy hip recall so that they may take the necessary legal actions to gain reparative damages for any harm they may have suffered. The first, most important step is obtaining their medical records.

This process is not a walk in the park and does involve some work and effort. Fortunately, a patient’s doctor is required to release their medical record upon request and can be picked up at the doctor’s office in most cases. However, there are some instances in which the physician’s orthopedists may refuse to release these documents to hip replacement recipients on an informal basis. In this situation, the patient should know that they have some options and legal rights.
